Cricket




A cricket bat and ball.

Cricket is one of the world’s leading sport and is the national sport of two of the most populated countries in the world Pakistan and India.
         So where does this sport come from. Cricket has been a sport since the 16th century. The first rules/laws of the sport of cricket came in 1744. The game came from England and is one of the most played sports still in Britain. The first ever test match was played in 1877. Cricket was then introduced into other countries such as the West Indies and India by the British East India company.     
       Cricket is a sport that involves a bat and ball. A bowler bowls the ball into a batsman who will then attempted to hit the ball. If the ball bounces and goes over the boundary the batting team gets four points. If the ball goes straight over the batting team will receive 6 points.   
     
       Cricket has grown into one of the worlds leading sport. It is yet another sport in which the British have created.
